There are lots of rock piles laying around in the farmers fields,in my part of the country(they pick their farmland of rocks and pile them up........... I was snoping thru one the other day and came aross this quartz rock(about a 10 pounder)....... Haven't cleaned it up yet,but don't know if I should cut it or just leave it alone. It does have character................... Thats a hole going into the interior of the rock, haven't seen how far it goes in yet......... Its pink and white quartz mix, with some other matrix mix too.... Looks like the same minerals that form in a cave with no light......Cool stuff on whatever it is......... A close up of the mineral(I'm thinking mineral) in metrix..........

Sometimes you just have to appreciate a rock for what it is. If you cut that rock up, you'll destroy what makes it cool ... it's character. If you really like it, then I'd suggest placing it in a good focal point in your yard, where you can see it often and smile. There are plenty of rocks to cut that are boring on the outside and beautiful on the inside.

Or, on the other hand ... if it looks that good on the outside, image what awaits within!
Cut, cut cut!

It really looks pretty cool as is but in the second picture, it looks like it has a line drawn on it where to cut....Maybe the rock is telling you something. Fran

FYI ... I have about 100 of those adorning my yard, all different sizes and types.
