Well, I know I'm jumping in on this after it seems a dead issue but... if anybody does put together a Burro Creek outing, I would try my hardest to get out there. I have never been rockhounding outside of walking the beaches of Lake Ontario, so I don't really have the expertise or knowledge of the area to organize anything.
Like I said, I realize it seems the level of interest so far in this thread was pretty limited. I just wanted to throw my name in there to show there may be some interested parties out there that won't say anything until something is in the planning stages.
I hope something works out but if not, oh well. Being that I have no idea what I'm looking for, I wouldn't head out west to even try unless I was with somebody that did.
