This is another batch finished today. Mainly Banded Agates and Carnelian, with loads of extras that have been returned back to stage 1. The ones you see are the best of the batch. I'm not shy when it comes to reprimanding the failed ones. They can go back and start all over again. The Batch Banded Agate Carnelian and an Unknown (To Me) One. Carnelian Alone I've absolutely no idea what this one is, where it came from, or how I even got hold of it, but hey, it polished up pretty fine. If I had to pick a favourite stone out of the whole batch this would be it. And this unknown one is pictured because it has the deepest shine and reflects well Thanks for looking

Really nice group here! I love your unknown. Almost like a montana but it has some extra color to it. Seems to have a smiling face in it, laying down. That shine in the last is amazing! Fran

Great batch, rogue, thanks for posting! Your "favourite" looks a bit like cornflake carnelian, no?

Really nice. To me, that unknown looks like a Montana agate. That last one almost looks like petrified wood. Great job on them.

Nice batch and a great shine! I'd say the unknown is Montana too. I can see why you like the carnelian with the cornflakes. That's a cool stone....Mel

If your unknown is not a Montana Agate, I will eat it. Please send it my way as I am already drooling like a Pavlovian dog in anticipation.
Nice batch!

That unknown translucent one with black intrusions looks like a montana moss agate to me, but I could be wrong.
Nice batch though.

Thanks for the heads up on the (now known as) Montana Moss Agate. Believe it or not, I have only just recently been mentioning to someone that I really like that material and I wish I could get hold of some. Seems I had a little piece all along. Condor - thanks for the possible ID of one as a piece of petrified wood. I picked that up on one of my journeys one time. because of it's shape and size I used to just keep it in my pocket as a kinda worry stone (must have carried it around for at least as year), anyway, I have recently found another like it and that will be going in the tumbler soon. Regarding the banded agates? LOL, I dunno where I got those from. They were in the bottom of my half empty bucket of 'I've smashed those up good and proper' stones. Normally used for stuff I found on the beach. I've not been beach combing in Botswana before so I guess I never picked those myself 150FromFundy - I tried posting the Montana to you but it got returned to sender address unknown The Carnelian - I had about 10 kilos (20lbs) of that type. I've got some more tumbling now, I've given some away (I think I used it as filler pieces in 3 seperate parcels), I sold some on fleabay and I still have about 2lbs left. It's one of my fav stones, but I only use it as a filler in the tumblers because it takes so damn long to grind down to a nice smooth rounded shape.
