I had my display case at the CFMS show in San Jose this weekend and I won a trophy. It was the California Federation of Mineralogical Societies Presidents Trophy. The case. Some shots of the show. I think there was about 60 dealers there. This is an 800+lb Jade boulder from Jade Cove that you could trip over. Bob

Congratulations again Bob! I recognize some of that material in your case because we had the priviledge of previewing it on this forum - like the Lincoln agate lower left, the 5" cab center right, etc. Based on the beauty shown on your individual posts of these items on RTH, I can just imagine how great your case looked in person! Wow way to go Bob! Gotta say though, that having viewed examples of your lapidary work, I'm not at all surprised. Your work is awesome and that's one heck of a display case too!.....Mel

Absolutely well-deserved. Bar none, every time I see your artwork it's breathtaking.
That goblet ... OH MY WORD ... I've never seen anything like that. When you have some time, would you mind taking some pics of that? I'd love to get a better look at it.

Congratulations. Your work is just stunning. Those who chose your work for the award obviously knows quality when they see it.
I would love to see a close up of that necklace on the far left. That took my breath away.

As it was said previously, your prize is fullly deserved! I hope this was the grand prize of the show, at least that's what I'm thinking you deserved. Your display is really museum grade, no overstatement at all.
It looks like you didn't show us all your tallents: do you also carv in stone? It's a snail down there in the 2nd pic, and a cameea with a white ellefant.
Thank you for sharing the pics from the show.

Adrian, Yes, I have done a little carving, but nothing lately. I'll have to think of something to carve when I get time, HA,HA! When does a retiree ever "have time"? Bob
