The Warm Springs tube agate is actually a Thunderegg. These are called Big Oak or Twin Oak Springs Thundereggs. Due to the remote area to collect this material the old timers took the Thundereggs and broke off all the matrix, leaving the agate core. Thus creating a lighter pack load. It's a shame they did such a thing to a Thunderegg, but I don't blame them! I had a customer bring in one of these Thundereggs a couple weeks ago to have identified and I have to admit it was one of the best tube agate specimens I have seen.... Nice black and blue agate with outstanding tubes.
They are indeed rare, but specimens are still out there. Just be prepared to spend some $$
