That cute wee guy looks a bit younger than a two year old! I would have had a close eye out for his (her) mother, but what a great treat to be able to get so many shots. Woody

Steve: Now those pics are priceless, he is so darn cute!!! How far away from him were you standing? Did he come up to you?

Great pictures and I enjoyed every one of them but I would have been terrified that the mom would come up behind me . He sure looks like he was tired. Maybe mom didn't come home and he was looking for her. He found a great place to nap though. Fran

I gradually worked my way to about 20 feet or so (listening for mom). I probably could of gotten closer but didn't feel the need to press my luck. He (she) climbed up two trees for a quicky nap. A White Pine and a large aspen.
Your probably right Woody...maybe last years cub. There was a big sow with 2 cubs hanging out eating apples last fall for a few weeks.
Rogue, there are a few that have foliage, bark, or branches sharper than the bear.

I LOVE the picture of him napping in the tree!
Now I'm all worried about his mom!

Beautiful pics! He looks pretty harmless but I bet it's not this way any more if he gets angry. I hope his mom is not around.

Great pics Steve! He/she looks healthy and handsome/pretty! I'd be shaking just from the excitement, let alone watching for mom! Chuck
