These are a few displays I have in my family room. My main display is in shambles right now with piles of slabs everywhere. The photos are not that great. These two are made from barn wood and I had intended to recess them entirely in the wall, but the studs behind were load bearing. Here are a few of my shadow boxes like the one Amber posted. The frames are barn wood. I wanted to do museum glass, but it was too expensive. Oregon Trail Theme with Deschutes Jasper Columbia River theme with Biggs Jasper and some Stinkingwater plume Some premium cabs

Neat displays. I love what you did with the historic displays with the jasper. Those are beautifully done. Barb

Truely beautiful work very well displayed. Too bad those studs were in the way, but none the less the shadow boxes look great. Woody

HPD: Those are not the $15 shadow boxes like I got, LOL!!! Wow I am so glad you posted these, that looks so neat with the clippings from the area, and the cabs and slab together. What is the purple one in the 2nd pic on the 2nd shelf, that is flashy!!! Great display!!! Amber

I really like those framed displays that combine historical information on the origin of the stones and the cabs. I recently asked what the heck do you do with all these things in another post. I think this is one of the coolest ideas I've seen since I don't wear jewelry and my manual dexterity and creativity are limited at best.
