Hello All, I was wondering if anyone has ordered any of the unsearched rough from Treasure Gem's and Coin's? I've been tempted to order but I'm not sure if I should. Mike www.treasuregemsandcoins.com

I agree they seem to have pretty steep prices.. :nono: .. I looked at the obsidian and they sell a 9oz to 1 pound bag for $13.99 cough cough..... I supply obsidian to folks and the for rare Burns Green Obsidian runs about $10.00per pound. Same with the agate rough a 1/2lb of agate for $13.99..... I most my agate for $1.00 and I'll search it for nice material for ya ;D Another place you might try for the gem back type deal is my buddy in North Carolina "Dino". www.djgems.net Hope that helps.... Save your money and search around!

We have too many vendors who are also board members here that have an outstanding reputation. Stick with them and you can't go wrong.

Thanks Guys, I was just curious, I also thought it was a little high! I've been out of the hobby for about 22 years, I'm just not sure of the best going prices for rough now. Mike

I can't vouch for the rocks/stones, but I'm almost certain some of their ancient coins are not quite as ancient as they suggest they are. I'm just in the process of taking a few photographs of my own and then I'll let you compare. These are identicle coins, one is genuine the other is of dubious age. Can you spot the difference?? These are coins of the Emporer Maximianus - 286AD-310AD. One of the coins is mine, one theirs. This is one from my collection. URBS ROMA You will notice a she wolf, and below her are the historic roman twins Romulus and Remus suckling on her teats. This is dated approximately 322AD. and finally another from my collection: This is a celtic stater, dated approximately late 1st Century B.C. This is made from raw unrefined silver. Unfortunately ist has a crack going right across the centre of the coin, and below it, which looks like a double zigzag is a picture of a horse and the zigzag is its legs. (Oh yes they are It's true )
