I went to a concert last night featuring The Guess Who.
Only 2 original members of the band still playing, but I will have to say that it was one of the best concerts that I have gone to in a long long time. I was thoroughly impressed. If any of you ever get a chance to go see them, you should do it. The concert was sponsored by a casino in Jackpot NV, and we spent the night there and left them more than enough money to cover the stuff they comped us. On a better note, my sister in law hit a $6400 jackpot on a penny machine. I told her she needed to buy some rocks, they are a good investment, but she says she is gonna pay off her car instead. Good to see someone wins besides the house once in a while!!

I think I still have some of their albums (vinyl). They put out some great songs. That is a great Jackpot and even more so from a penny machine. Looks like you had a lot of fun.

One of my all time favorite albums was "Road Work" by the Guess Who... Had it on 8-track...played it till the deck died around 1987...gave a couple hundred 8-track cassettes to Goodwill after that...kinda wish I still had them now! Dan.

The Guess Who are one of Canada's finest. Sure they are old, but they still rock and put on an awesome show.
Ironically, the signature calssic rock song that broke them into the American market (American Woman) was witten by a Canadian band.
If you ever have a chance to see Bachman Turner Overdrive (or the remants there of, go for it). Burton Cummings (Guess Who) and Randy Bachman (BTO) were insepaerable for much of their earlier writing.

I saw BTO years ago, they were a good show also. I have seen quite a few of these "older" bands, and most of them seem bored while playing. The Guess Who were still having a good time playing, and it showed.
