Congrats! I think you got it!
Nice shapes! Some of them remind me of jelly beans.
There isn't much you can do with really fractured rough; at least I haven't been able to do much with them. But your rough that isn't fractured came out very nice.
The only suggestion I have is perhaps longer in the polish or a burnish to get that glassy shine.

Really nice batch. You did a great job!
Yep, I agree with HardRock, don't get down about the fractures, comes with the territory. The only way to try to save them is by cutting them down along the fractured lines and re-tumbling (always a gamble), grinding them open with a diamond tipped bit (with water) which opens them up for the grit to smooth the surface, or seal them with super glue or hot stuff and re-tumble. All of these are tricky to do depending on the degree of fractures and lots of other things. I toss my fractured tumbles in my garden borders where they add lots of beauty.
Keep up the good work! Jo

Yes, I think finding a nice garden spot for the fractured ones is probably what I'll do... with these anyway. Jo, do you use something like a dremel with a diamond bit to grind open stones?

I love the middle one on the left. It looks almost perfectly round in that photo. Nice work!

Looks pretty good to me. I only just finished my first batch a couple weeks back. I think you faced some of the same challenges that I did. I was not positive what every last stone was so consequently there was some variation in hardness and they didn't all take the same polish. I think your first effort easily matches mine but it'll take time before we can hope to rival some of the rock hounds that post here.
That black and yellow stone is very cool. What is that one?

Thank you all so much for the feedback and encouragement. I honestly have no idea what any of the stones are! LOL - I'm really new to this. I can tell you that in the first picture the 3 largest (two quite round and one kind of oval w/ reddish streaks) are from Africa. The other stones are mostly from Moonstone Beach in Cambria, CA. Some of the fractured ones in the last picture were found in Coalinga, Ca. Again thanks to all of you.
