Glad you made this subject !
the other day on my route i stopped at yard sale This gent showed me green rock about 6" inches diameter & 2" thick the heel had been slabbed cut
he was asking if I knew what this rock was? he had this specimen for a long time
well i dowsed it in water & took it out in the sun it had white creamy veins a nice green sheen my guess was jade
so I told him I would come back later, take a picture & post it on this board for I.D.
if all things work out- maybe by Wednesday I'll have that task accomplished

Some Jade material should be soaked in soapy water over night, To prevent saw oil from saturation into the material. The soap is a wetting agent.
and their is a countless list of material that should be soaked before cutting...............

Telltale for jade is that it is waxy. When you cab it, it has a waxy surface.
