My saws are in the basement and I live in the country. Just one visible neighbor. We set boundaries when I moved out here. We agreed no barking dogs and no gunfire after dark unless its absolutely necessary. Never been a problem.
I was raised in a small city - roughly 35,000 people. My best memories as a kid were visiting relatives that lived on farms. I vowed to my self I'd never live in the city as long as I have my health and can take care of my own property.

Help the nieghbors who complain, understand. By placeing a show and tell sign in your front lawn. Bring all your equipment out and start makeing all the noise you can. When someone stops to ask what you are doing. Show them your wonderful creations and skill. Who know's, you might make a few sales. Someone may have something they would like you to cut for them. Before you know, the whole hood will love the noise becuase you are making others happy with your creations in stone.
