A Time for Butterflies
With summer soon upon us, it seemed like a good time for a Butterfly contest. I first want to thank all the wrappers who donated their time and incredible talent. Each butterfly has its own story. One never made it to the designated wrapper. It was lost in the mail so who ever ended up with it was lucky indeed. However, as always seems the case here at RTH, through the generosity of another member, there was an extra butterfly given which could be wrapped.
That same member wanted to contribute his own wrapped butterfly as well. Thank you Rockmanken.
One Butterfly broke while being wrapped but through the talent of the wrapper was fixed and wrapped beautifully.
Another Butterfly was wrapped and sent back addressed inadvertently to the wrong state. However, the zip code was correct and it was received safe and sound.
One butterfly has hinged wings so it can flutter freely. How cool is that!
Two butterflies left early and are now in the hands of their owner. They fluttered off for worthy causes. The first to leave was wrapped by BikerRandy, the second was wrapped by me.
Now that you know some of the history, here is the flutter of butterflies that will be offered as contest prizes. From the top clockwise, the wrappers are Chris Perez, Wyckedwyer, Tigger, Rockhobbit, Deedolce, and Akansan and in the middle, Rockmanken.
Dee's bfly also includes a black choker necklace which is not in the picture.
There are seven butterflies and there will be six contests. After the contests are over, I would like to send the last (7th) butterfly back to Steve Holmes as he is the one who wanted his cabs to be given to the members here.
General Rules:
If you win a butterfly, you cannot compete for another. Contests are a lot of fun so the winner of each contest will make up the next contest and contest rules. If someone is really too shy, pm me and I will start the contest for them, but I hope that does not happen as it is a great way to get to know other members.
Each butterfly has a number on the backside and they are numbered 1 through 7. The winner of a contest picks a number and will receive the butterfly with the corresponding #. Only the butterfly whose # is picked will be revealed.
Specific rule for this contest:
It is the only thing other than count the marbles in the jar that I could come up with.
My son once owned a hedgehog which looked similar to this one:
What was the gender of the hedgehog and what was its name?
First clue, the gender of the hedgehog is opposite of the gender of its name.
I'll give other clues if no correct guess is made in a couple of days.
Good luck everyone!
