i was so distracted by Amber's contest, i almost forgot to post these, lol. first up a 18mm x 13mm turritela agate. i think this is like the "life is like a box of chocolate" kind of stone as you never know what you are going to end up with until you dome it: next a 25mm x 18mm very mild piece of Tiffany Stone: a 30mm x 22mm Picture Jasper that Sandsman gave me at least 100 years ago: a 25mm x 18mm of Chinese Pietersite: another 25 x 18 oval of weird mexican lace: a brazilian (?) agate, very thin: thanks for looking!

How could you be distracted by Ambers contest. Heck, I went to work this morning and there were 2 pages...it's up to 7 now! Now I'm getting distracted....Great set of Cabs KD! That Pietersite is extremely gorgeous...I also like that Petrified Picture Jasper. Thanks for sharing. Steve

The Chinese Pietersite does it for me, KD. Like Ed said, they are all pleasing to the eye. Jo

Gotta love what you do and it shows that you do love cabbing. Your work is awesome! I love them all! If someone twisted my arm and made me pick one favorite I'd have to say teh Turitella (sp?) is #1. I love the look of the fossils set against the brown. Almost good enough to eat.

The turitella really came out beautiful. You're so right, that stone is a total mixed bag. You never know what you're going to end up with and you never know if you're going to open up a mess of pits. Your piece looks like it treated you well. I love how distinct the shells are! I also really like the Pietersite. I've not worked any of the red kind before...it's stunning!

What's a KD display without a little lace? They're all terrific, but I think my favorite is that lace!

You got some really nice whole shells in that turitella. Nice work on all of these, I always admire your high domes since I struggle with them.
