Has anyone tried cleaning polishing compound out of tumbled stones with an ultrasonic cleaner? Does it work? I've got a batch that still has polishing compound in some pits after the burnish stage. It's green moss agate and the pits are from the green moss bits, so I think they are there to stay. More tumbling would probably grind down to more moss-pits. So I just want to clean them. Steve

I haven't tried ultrasonic. I use a high(ish) pressure spray made according to this: tomaszewski.net/Kreigh/Minerals/Homemade.shtmlOthers use a dry cleaning pressure sprayer. You should be able to find it if you search the threads. Chuck
