I can tell I haven't really worked with a torch since my class over a year ago. I accumulated all the supplies, but haven't had a chance to really use them! Anyway, I wanted something "special" for my sister's graduation present. She has plenty of wirewraps from me, and I wasn't sure what else to do. And then I remembered this cab: When I cut it, I cut the bezel properly to be set (something I'm trying to get in the habit of!) and knew it was for my sister sometime. Her favorite color is turquoise, her birthday is in December...it just fit. Evidently, her graduation outfit (that no one really sees!) is turquoise and brown. I had just finished moving all my 'smithing equipment into my house, and so I thought I'd try it out. The setup still needs some work, and my skills are definitely beginner level, but I figured if something was made in love, that's got to count, right?

I'd be tickled pink with a gift as beautiful as that...and knowing it was handcrafted with love makes it even more special. Lucky is the girl who has such a sister.

I'd much rather have something like this vs something machine made overseas somewhere. This is true art - made with the heart and hands of someone close - you can't beat that. She's going to be thrilled!
