After cutting a groove with a groove grinder bit, 20 ga wire seems to be too loose. The bit and groove are about 1.0 mm, which is actually the diameter of 18 ga wire. I wasn't planning to use anything larger than 20 ga. It's a small cab. In the pics I've seen here, the wire appears to fill the groove. What wire size/shape do you use for groove wraps? Or do you flatten it out some? Or is there a smaller groove bit? Any suggestions? Thanks!

We use the Gryphon bit and the 20 gauge fits perfectly, we use half round with the round part inside, some of the looseness depends on how deep you cut and how tight you pull it at the top, you really have to work the wire in there. It looks so easy when you look at the pics, but it is still a challenge! Play aroud with 18 gauge and maybe try flattening the wire if you have only round? Don't know if this helps or not, it is just what we use! Or try posting some pics and people can see what you are working with and make suggestions.

Thanks. Maybe the bit is too thick. I don't think it's Gryphon's. Maybe Glastar? It's silver, but I threw away the wrapping.
