FINALLY a batch of rocks finished. Started it last year, CE tumbler, rebuild the tumbler, blah, blah..finally finished a batch of agate and jasper. These are photographed dry. In the photos I see pits and dull spots that weren't quite so obvious before. All in all, I'm satisfied with this first effort. Thanks for looking. Barb Full batch That light brown one on the left shows the most pits Oh, yeah, something to show scale A few of the more shiny ones

Thanks Brian and Jo. I learned a lot of tips from this forum, and also found things I SHOULD have done as I went along. Maybe should have left in the Borax burnish a bit longer, as I do see a few cracks that apear to still have polish in them....maybe a toothbrush will help. Barb

LOL, Tony- kudos on the great material!
Yes, I'd take a toothbrush with water, if that doesn't work, try baking soda with the toothbrush, if that doesn't work, there are some threads on a mini water pressure cleaner that is used for this type of instance as well as crystals and druzies. Do you have an old water pick laying around? Jo

Jo, I do have a water pick "laying around" actually because its really messy to use, but rocks might be a good thing to use it on! I'll try the toothbrush first. Thanks for the suggestions. Barb
