This is one of the pieces I've been slowly working on. Shaping the bail was giving me a whole lot of trouble, until I thought of actually annealing the wire first (it was half-hard). I still had problems actually attaching it. It took probably five tries before it was solidly attached! Anyway, here ya go. All total, I'm better pleased with this one then my last attempt, but there are still some obvious flaws.

That's REALLY beautiful, Ronda! How did you do the pattern on the bezel?

Thanks, Titania!
It's two pieces of bezel wire soldered together. Bobby1 mentioned on another board about using scrapbooking scissors to make patterned bezel edges. That same day, I was in Michael's and they were having a clearance sale on some scrapbooking supplies - I picked up 3 different pairs of scissors for 50 cents each! I also learned why they were probably on sale...they had a tough time cutting 30g fine silver. I can't imagine they cut thick paper very easily!
Now for my confession - I actually attached the second piece after the initial bezel was already soldered to the base. I had a gap between the bezel and the base in one spot, and I was looking for a way to cover it. I like the result, but it was a pain to solder the second piece on an already attached curve!

You did a great job figuring a way to turn a flaw into flawless. You created a beautiful pendant.

That's a beautiful piece! The stone is well done and your elegant silverwork did a great job setting it off.
