Howdy folks, Natural camouflage is one of the things I find fascinating when out nature watching. When I spot an interesting example I always try to get a picture that shows camo in action. Here are just a few pics from yesterday plus one pic I took just because it was pretty. Thanks for looking.....Mel Very simple camouflage here. This dragonfly has a white body that matches the stems on which it rests making it hard for a bird to spot the target at rest. While wandering through a patch of Mexican Hat daisies, I spotted this cool solitary bee. The second pic shows how the maroon and yellow color pattern exactly matches the color pattern of the daisy flower. And finally, I know we think of thistles as weeds but dang this Scotch Thistle flower is a pretty thing!

Cool photos! I have thistles that grow in my yard. I never have the heart to dig them up, because I just love their purple flowers. One got to be over 6 ft tall last summer.

Mel: Now that was cool, I love the Mexican Hat daisies, and that bee does just blend right in! That thistle is beautiful!

Something tells me that Amber wouldn't have been impressed if it was snake camoflauge. Love the pictures!
