That looks like a pretty good batch. What were the rules you have to follow to win? Keep us posted and GOOD LUCK! Fran

Fran, Thanks, The rules are pretty much up front. You may grind flaws with an 80 grit wheel to get rid of fractures, etc but only after the first rough cycle.
After that it's just tumblin away.
I doubt if I stand a chance to even get an honorable mention but thought i would give it a try any way.

Have you asked them how many entries there are? If not many you could easily "stand a chance."

Good luck Conrock. I saw your first post about the comp but can't remember if you send the tumbles in or if you can attend the judging. Either way I hope you have a lot of fun doing this.

Thanks all for all your good wishes. I don't know how many people entered the competition but being it's the 1st one I would imagine the list isn't all that long. I do know that others from here have entered but don't know who they are. I doubt if there are as many "serious" tumblers anywhere as there are on this site and being that the entry fee is 40 bucks I doubt if any "Ham n Eggers" entered either!! I'm doin my best to get a list of the competitors so I can send them some great tips on tumbling like "no water is needed and beach sand works best"! :nono: ;D Do ya think? lol I finished the 1st rough and re-broke a few (which the rules allow) and the 2nd rough should be out by Monday. I forgot to take pic's after the 1st rough and hope I remember to take pic's of the entire process. Thanks again for your well wishes! connrock
