I tried something new and just polished both sides of a thin agate slab to try to make a more masculine looking pendant. I'm undecided, its not horrible but not great. What does everyone else think? Be honest you won't hurt my feelings. ![](http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll93/mswieting/IMG_0495.jpg)

Definetely not ugly and definetely masculine. As an improvement, you could make two grooves right on the face of the cab and insert those wires into the groves, then grind them to flush the face of the cab. This way they will look like silver intarsia. Another idea: could you bring down the bail a bit such as it would be hidden by the cab? I think your idea has some interesting developing directions.
Adrian
PS. Could we see the back please?

I don't think it's ugly, either.

It is a very raw look but not ugly. A lot of folks are into a more natural look and I like Adrian's idea of making the wire flush with the stone. That would really be cool! Fran

All grooved up, and bail hidden. I couldn't grind down the wire because its just plated, but I think that looks a lot better now. Thanks again Adrian. ![](http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll93/mswieting/IMG_0496.jpg)

Wow, what a fast redo! Too pity you cannot grind the wire 'cause it's plated, but it looks better even this way.
Thanks for considering my idea. Adrian
PS. Where's the bail? Hidden behind? A pic of the back, would you post it please? This is, of course, only if you won't have to kill us after that ;D

Its not too pretty on the back but it sits fairly flat. No need to kill anyone. ![](http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll93/mswieting/IMG_0509.jpg)
