Haven't posted much lately but if you have seen some of my wraps you know how much I love twisting wire. Sometimes I want only a small section of the wire twisted and I'll use my pin vice and I use my screw gun to twist full lengths of wire. I was wrapping a stone today and I wanted just a 1/8 inch section of two square wires twisted together and the rest of the wire straight. I was working with half hard wire and I was afraid that using the pin vice for such a short length would not come out evenly but I needed the hollow of the pin vise to keep the rest of the wire straight. I figured out that if I open up the chuck(I think that is what it is called) of my three prong screw gun all the way the pin vice would fit in it. the screw gun rotates the pin vice which in turn twists the wire. This made me very happy The little twist was then pounded to flatten it. I just wanted to share the tip with anyone who likes twisting wire.

Great idea, Lori! YOu so smart! Now I need to see if my pin vise will fit my drill. I'd love to be able to put small bits of twist where I want them. T

Cool idea, I still haven't tried twisting a wire yet. Maybe I'll try that on my next groove wrap.
