We enjoyed the show a lot! It was hot, but tents are plentiful. If you're thinking of going, I encourage you to do so!
We met Dave and saw Sandy, Ed, Ken, & Donna again. Thanks, Dave, for your generosity! We're looking forward to working with that pet wood, amethyst, & mixed tumbling rough! Dave has a variety of nice material, starting at just $1/pound (but if you mention you're on RTH, he'll probably give you a discount; I hesitate to mention the fantastic bargain he gave us 'cause I don't want to set any expectations). Some beautiful big slices of agates for $8/pound (list price). If I only had the equipment to polish them properly! He also has some of his agate-slab buildings, etc. on display. His area is next to the parking lot to the right of the entrance. Look for his snowdog's picture on his trailer.
If you like druzy quartz, you'll love Ed & Sandy's area. Far more druzy quartz than anyone else at the show, from what I saw!
The trailer guy was there again. Sandy was right about him having other things besides slabs. We got a two-gallon bucket of slabs for $25 and another of other rough for $10. The buckets of slabs are partially pre-arranged, so we didn't get to do a lot of selecting, other than picking which bucket to buy. The other rough is spread out in the trailer, so my wife selected most of that bucket, including lots of small pieces for me to tumble & her to wrap.
I got an ocean jasper pendant for my wife's anniversary present & a few other things, too.
We took some geodes with us from a trip to Hamilton, IL a few weeks ago. Two or three people had geode crackers at the show. One guy wanted $5/each to crack my geodes for me. When I declined, he pointed me to another guy who would do it for $1/ each, took me over to the other guy, introduced me to him, & stayed to help! Most of our ten geodes are very beautiful inside (God makes some really cool stuff!).

It was hot, it was so nice to meet Sandy and Ed and snow dog. It was also nice to see Brad again, Brad we looked for you before we left but couldn't find you, I think you might have been comming back as we were leaving. The best part of the show was meeting some of the RTH family and old friends. ( Sandy's Dog is sweet too he was enjoying greeting people) Donna

I have to post a quick report as well. We are just now home. We hadn't planned on being home this early and feel very guilty for not getting to stay to help Dave (snowdog) tear down his booth. He has sooooooooo much stuff! We found out Ed has to be at work at 5am and still has to do some things tonight with his truck before going to bed.
Snowdog is about as wonderful a person as they get. He's about as generous as they come. Thank you soooooooo much Dave, can't wait to see you gain. Ken & Donna are just great. If any of you are interested in Ken's penguin, leopard or dolphin pieces he's made and posted pictures of, then..........they are 100% better in person. I loved them before, then when I saw them was just blown away. His knives are absolutely incredible as well. You just don't realize how great they are until you actually see them in real live. Spectacular! Brad, nice to see you again! Hope your wife liked the pendant, you could tell you were putting a lot of time in picking the perfect one! We met some great people again at the show, but I was thrilled to get to visit with everyone from the board! Sandy
