There are several different types of intarsia.

This "American Masters of Stone" information has been compiled over many years and quite a few of the artists have now passed away, but their work still exists and it is still wonderful. I have the CD's showing hundreds of photos of these "Masters of Stone" intarsia works and they are truly inspiring to look at.
