I have been working on some more quartz for quite a while and a lot of them are redos. I ran these through several weeks in the tumblers and then combined them and put them in the vibe for the 500, 1000 and polish. Some of my favorites here are not smooth all over but they look good enough to me. I had Amethyst, Citrine, Rose Quartz, Girisol Opal, Smoky quartz, Hematoid quartz and some blue quartz in this batch. Here is the whole batch: Here are some preforms that have some chips still. Tried to do these on the flat lap and they would always undercut and chip. Threw them in and most of the chips came out. Heres my favorite Front: Back: Thanks for looking! Fran

Those are cool!! I like the citrine and quartz the best. I've always liked stuff that you can see through.

Good and pretty stones. Those citrines are just so nice. If I rember correctly, you had sent me some in the batches that I gave to the Children's Hospital after that young girl had passed away from cancer.

Your Citrine looks better than most of the "oven-baked amethyst" that is coming out of Brazil. You have a nice rich amber colour.
Where did you source your material? I would like to chase some of that down.

I have to chime in on that citrine, that is absolutely mouth-watering! Fran, where did you get that if you don't mind my asking? I love the rest of the stones too, I can only aspire.. Bonnie

Thanks for the comments everyone! If I remember correctly, I got the Citrine from Dad's Rock Shop and also from The Rock Shed. I had mixed it together and this was the last of it to tumble. This was about a year ago that I purchased these so I don't know if they have any now. I am pretty sure the darker stuff was from the rock shed if that helps.

Thanks Fran, I just checked The Rock Shed and it doesn't look as though he has any in right now, I 'll check Dad's Rock Shop too. That's where my tumbler came from! I just love the look of that rock and would love to try my hand at working with some. Did you see the Flourite The Rock Shed has? My gosh what gorgeous stuff! Have you ever worked with that Fran?
