Hey, I'm heading to the Plush, OR sunstone mines next week and thought I'd stop by Glass Butte on the way. Does anyone know if camping is allowed there, or if there are any camp grounds nearby? Thanks!

Yes, camping is allowed there. Have a great time, we will be heading there sometime this year as well.

Yes camping is allowed, however there is no campground.... A mile or two in the road you'll pass some nice camps in the valley just before the cowpond. Gives you a fair windbreak..... I usually camp on the left side of the road on the flat after the cowpond near the juniper tree.... In fact last time I was there a few weeks ago I left a bunch of firewood and newspaper for the next camper.
If your heading south to Burns from Bend right before the 77 Mile marker is the turn off for glass buttes. Turn right and your on Obsidian road. Have fun, there's lots of glass and various pits all over the place.

LOL - Sorry , At Glass Butte there is a small pond aka Mudhole full of water the cows or cattle in the area use for drinking and wading into. There is digs right above this pond on the hillside as well.
Enjoy!
