Woof!!!!!
After only 4 days ... I learned a big lesson here. I lost over half of the mass if not close to 3/4 of the batch. NOTE: I am using my rotary.
So ... I have cleaned out the barrel, 2 tablespoons of 120/220 and 8 tablespoons pellets.
I will check this batch on Friday evening. I am so glad that I used only half of the bag I got. I would be devastated if I massacred the whole bag I got from my sweet benefactor here!!!
See kids .... there are some more new kiddies here than me that think I sound like I know what I am doing. NOT!!!!!!
Again .... woof!!! ;D
As always .... Julie

Yup, I know the feeling. It's a very soft rock and it wears out a lot. I just got done with some that I placed in the 4lb vibe 2nd stage. I still had some left from the rotary and now have those in the vibe 2nd stage too. By Friday I'll move them to 400F. The way they're looking so far I'm hoping they will come out nice. I'm looking forward to seeing yours and see how they come out also. We seem to be doing the same thing within the same timeframe.

Hi Julie,
I find it undercuts also ,and getting a good polish on it , is very difficult (on the batch that I Have) in the rotary Or even the Lot"O" NOTE If you have a soft rock shorten the first run ( to 12 hours in the Lot O) or if they are preforms start at a later stage .
I see you are using Rotary and have done this already
You could have started in stage 2 ? a lot is trial and error but good fun to get that good finish.
With the crystacola I got I have to Buff it with Zam to get a nice finish , it has some spots on it that is really soft like Malakite
Have a good day
