Hello All.
I was wondering if anyone had some Savannah River Agate they would be willing to part with? If so, Please PM me with details.
Also does anyone have directions to a good collecting site for the Savannah River Agate?

Probably mixed sizes, I'd like to try tumbling some and also have some for Cabbing, As far as how much! Maybe a large FRB.
I'm not sure what the hardness is for it! I would guess about the same as most Agate 7 to 7.5
Do you have any Pic's of what you have?

What area are you in Mike? There are quite a few of us here inthe south with the SRA. I am near Charlotte and have lots also. It is always easier to pick what you want on site and just take it home instead of shipping it. Most of mine has red, brown or purple instead of the basic yellowish. Lots of vugs with crystals too. I have cabbed and tumbled plenty in the past. Not in any way trying to cut Keith out of the deal, he is a buddy of mine, just wondering if I might be closer. If it has to be shipped, get it from him. Hardness is in the 7 range. I assume you are aware that it is a chert and NOT a true agate?
