Sweet slabs! The fortified Casa Grande is incredible. I know what you mean about the ol' workforce, it leaves some gnarly saw marks. I'm saving up to get a 10" for slabbing smaller stuff.

Mel, beautiful slabs. I enjoy looking at your fantastic material and the stories that come with them. Ive never been to the western areas of the country and probably never will. Looking at members photos gives me a view that I really enjoy. Keep em coming!

Mike and Ken: Most these will go into the tumbler because I really don't much like cabbing Workforce slabs. The cuts are too darn rough and it takes so much more work. Slabs off a good saw are almost flat lapped when they come off the blade. I am gonna set aside a couple of the nicer pieces though.
Dan: I do have a nice 10" with a power feed but it cools with oil and is so messy I have more fun with the Workforce. Besides in this Texas weather, it's fun to just sit and get soaked. I do have a lot of beautiful material set aside for the larger saw though so I'll have to set it up pretty soon *sniff* What a really need is a new big saw for all my larger rough ( lots of poppies) but I'm waiting to see how much the Obamanation raises our taxes and screws up the economy before I spring for a multi-thousand dollar saw..Mel

Mel: You have the coolest stuff, wow those first few pics are so vibrant, I bet they are super cool in person! Do you have big displays out of slabs and such, it would be cool to see! Amber

Amber: I used to have huge museum case before I moved. It was too large and fragile for the Texas move so I gave it to a friend for his shell collection. Now all my slabs and polished specimens are just in drawers and files. I actually had to much to display anyway and keeping everything dusted was a big chore( me being lazy and all *L*)....Mel
