Someone must have found that doll, pulled out the needles and sprinkled it with angel dust. Those look great!

Geee thanks for such kind words folks!!! This whole series of photo's just goes to prove you can't expect quality polished rocks by only roughing for the 7-10 days that most Tumbler Mfg's. suggest. I've always had one darn problem with roughing over and over again. It's kind of like a catch 22. If you don't have some pretty good size rocks to begin with, you'll end up with a tad over sand by the time the roughing is finished. If you start with big rocks they are usually so fractured and pitted that by the time they are good enough to go onto the next stage they are a tad over sand!! lol I wish the people who are running this competition gave a lot more rough so by the time it's finished you wouldn't need a microscope to see the end product!! lol Hmmmmmm,,, "Micro-tumbs" I know there are other members here who have entered this competition who may be viewing my results which is kinda like me "showing my hand" in a poker game but I thought it might be interesting for others to see just how long it takes to get that great rounded wet look on some polished rocks. I'll run this series of photo's right up to where I am sending in my results,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if I remember!!! ;D connrock

Well as they say,,,better late then never!!!
I'll be posting photo's of the next rough today or tomorrow and I didn't even answer your replies to the last one yet!! SORRY!!!
I thank you again for your kind thoughts and words and I'm happy that you're enjoying seeing the progress of the rocks.
I guess no matter how long you've been doing this (tumbling rocks) it still seems to take forever to get through the rough stage!
I can see that some of the rocks here will not make it to the 2nd stage for a VERY long time.
I have a LOT of snow white quartz that I'm using for a filler as the rocks wear down.I started using Ohio flint but it was VERY had to sort them out to take the photo's.The colors were just too close to the competition rough so I decide a white rocks would make the sorting MUCH easier.
Well we'll see how things are going either today or tomorrow.
