Our first destination was Walton Lake where we planned on meeting up with others from RTH.

On our way to Walton Lake we had to stop to let the little man calm down after getting sick.

After setting up camp we hiked over a near by hill to a vistaite collecting location. On the way there we found this tree where a large knot / burl was cut. I don't know if it was cut before or after the tree died.

Saturday morning we were a little impatient and left before we meet up with anybody from RTH. We then headed to the Prineville Pow Wow. These are some of the items I purchased there.

After the pow wow we went to Elkins Rock Shop. I returned here three times and did get to meet many RTH members. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of RTH members. These are picture are of the shop and some of what I purchased. The pricing here is fantastic, starts at $.10 per pound.

Saturday evening we walked around Prineville. I really like architecture like this. Andy and Jen had a lot of fun on the swings in the park next to this building.

I love Elkins. I stopped there too. Judy was not looking too good. Back problems. I think that was my last visit before I leave Oregon.

I heard that Bruce (RocksJ2B2) bout a few thousand $$ of her Biggs and Deshutes slabs. Now I just need to figure out how to get a shot at some of those slabs before I don't live near Bruce.
