Wow, great looking garden and so lush too. Must be nice to get all that rain. The caterpillars are chomping up my plants faster than I can make them grow down here. Very dry year so far and the plants just don't seem to want to grow very fast even with extra watering and fertilizer......Mel

Okay Jo, when you finally hit the trail and happen to be anywhere near Kansas City...you can come plant my yard.

Haha, it would be my pleasure, Ronda! Mel, you need to install an irrigation system from the pasture run-off! You'll probably get a fighting chance when things cool down in the fall I would guess. This is the 6th or 7th year for the garden, and this is the best it's looked. I mooved the medium height plants closer to the inside, and lower height plants to the outside. Always had an "English Garden" look in mind for it. Broke my heart when we cut down the three stumps this spring because of the termites.
Always fun in the spring to see what "volunteers" come up and take them and move them to other spots in the yard.

Yes, even the weeds. Your Hostas look great, my Mom and Dad still live back east and they have trouble with the deer eating them.

Jo: THe plants look beautiful! I knew we had rain, because I had bursting red tomatos and my potted plants were still alive, LOL! It does take a good 6 or 7 years until everything gets established, my sunflowers I plant from seed are about 3 feet tall!! I plant them for my gram every year!

That is such a lush and tranquil garden Jo and those roses are beautiful. Any moonstone in the rock border?

Very nice garden, love the hostas. Being a dry cold spring here. My garden and yard is going backwards.

Haha, you guys are so funny. Amber, that's too sweet about the sunflowers. Lori- Yes! The softer moonstone goes in the garden borders. Mary Ann and Billy, my back garden is like that this year! It's a shade garden and I usually load it with Impatien seeds from the previous year (fun to harvest in the fall) and then hit them with Miracle Gro and watch them become colored bushes! This year, not doing all that stuff. On well!

Beautiful! The chosen combination of plants and the way you arranged them looks just right. I also like the look of the curvy rock border.
