If I have rough rock that needs to be tamed a bit without sawing ... can I put these through the vibe at 60-90 for 1-2 days?

I would not use 60/90 in a vibe. You will wear your bowl out real fast. It will just sit on the bottom. Take them to your grinder and tame them. Must be wild rock you have there (kidding could not resist that that one) ;D

You would do better with a small rotary and round off in it. Use the vibe to finish. Vibes are designed to finish while maintaining shapes.

60/90 should never be used in a vibe, they are too aggressive for that. As Billy said, the bowl will wear down fast.

Use a a Vibe as Randy suggests or
use 220G in vibe it will clean the rocks up but not shape them as the rotary does
I've cleaned up Jet in a rotary and that's really soft .

Julie, I love your "Duh" questions. Keep asking them. All these folks wouldn't seem so smart if people like you and I weren't here to provide the contrast.
