the lake is called elephant butte lake, the lake is like 2 Min's from me here and i gotta say the fishing is great white bass, black bass, lg and Sm mouth bass, the average striper is around 15 lb and they have pulled out 50 lb'ers, giant 30 and 40 lb catfish and up to like 10lb walleyes, all and all a great fishing lake -- they have boat and jet ski rentals the whole place is in the state park so you have to buy a pass to use the lake but its like 40.00 a year for a dawn till dusk pass i just get one of them every year , its extra if you wanna stay over nite but I'm so close i can just go home haha -- you can get a day pass too but I'm always riding the bike in there checkin out the bikinis so it pays to get the year one -- they call this place the land of enchantment, i gotta say they will have to carry me out in a box cause I'm not goin any wear hahaha
i forgot to say i think i took those pics on Tuesday or wed, so the place was still empty i forgot my camera when we went out on Friday afternoon it was packed looked like a small city from one end to the other haha
