This guy has been around the house for 4 days now.. Then I was being followed very closly while taking pictures of the swan by this guy... We think the swan came from a small u-pick strawberry farm a mile or so from the house. I know thery have some animals there but don't remeber any swans. This guy seems tame..let me get about 4 feet away the other night and was not spooked at all.. Jeff

That is a beautiful swan and you have a cool masked guy here too. I don't think I would mind finding a swan added to my home. Fran

I love swans, we have alke nearby and have these really weird looking ducks that venture down to my house, they are so strange, I should take pics some day! Most mornings I have to wait while they take their good old time walking across the street. Swans are so graceful! Amber

We get Canada Geese at the corporate puddles in Johnson county. I love watching them - so elegant! (And noisy, if you've lived in the flight path!)

The masked guy is a Muscovy duck..they are about twice as big as a Mallard type duck. They like to stand close in case you might be inclined to drop some food They have beautiful feathers and coloring, but the face...

swans are HUGE out of the water and more than a little intimidating if they are hungry and percieve you as a provider of food. i raised Muscovy Ducks for a few years and they aren't the friendliest of birds either.

You sure did post a beautiful pic. I remember visting my dad with my son and going by the water to watch two swans. Must have been a pair because when we approached the edge of the water, one came out as if to say that's close enough. We didn't argue with him. lol.
