We went to the eastern shore yesterday. Just a few nights before I had been called given the green light to explore the field behind the house along with the surrounding areas.
The past month we had been there I noticed many small Brown Jasper chips laying about the driveway and thought this would be a good opportunity to do a bit more exploration and dig a bit deeper.
But first I needed to take care of some business.. I have always enjoyed feeding my friends farm animals..
After feeding the critters.. I headed back into the forest.. in search of some Coral fungus I had seen just a month ago.. I retuned to the marked location.. and the fungus wasn't to be found.
After completing these two tasks.. it was time to head down into the field.. Originally i wanted to video the jeep entering the field but wasn't able to gain access to the back yard.. Thus if I could ride a ATV.. access would have been a bit easier.
While on my hands an knees.. I found many small sized Brown jasper.. and a few larger which I may cut later. Might even had found a "Gray Jasper" even thou this type of jasper isn't listed in any of my manuals.. But the rock had many of the same characteristics of the other brown jasper..
One of the main reasons I was called to the eastern shore, was the fact that my lady friends son is steadily clearing their back yard and located this nice and large (Bit to heavy for me to move) Agate vug with some small crystal pockets.
There still is a very large section remaining and My lady friends son should (over time) break a bit more for transport..
