My 2nd attempt. This one is not a cab - it was a natural stone - agate of some kind, I think - that came out of the vibe. I just liked the way it looked and its shape, and decided to see what I could do with it. It's about 1.5" tall and .75" wide, and quite thin, but has a curve that makes it a bit concave from the front. I think the wrapping is a bit funky (I used 18ga. silver), but hey - it's just between you and me, right? ;D Sorry about the shabby photo - it's after dark here, so no sunlight - couldn't get the camera to focus on it under my "picture taking" light. Oh, well. Thanks for looking. Tom

Nice! Far beyond anything I can do, and the picture isn't all that bad.

Looks good to me! Tumbles are harder to wrap than a cab because you don't have that even edge so you did a great job! Fran

I think it's lovely. I like the rock background in the picture, too, even tho the later pictures are clearer. Nice flow, clean lines! Susan

For a natural stone that has a nice sheen on it and good for you with wrapping it. I would imagine even if your 18g wire is dead soft, it must have been a challange for you. You did a great job with this.

Thanks, everybody. I'm really beginning to like this wrapping stuff! I may learn to do it one of these days, if I'm not careful ... ;D Tom

PS - Susan - that background rock is a nice Unakite slab that I just now finished cutting into 3 preforms. I still have another big slab of it, but I'll wait until I know more about what I'm doing before I cut that one up.
