Hi kids!!!
First off ... I love my Lortone!!!! It is like watching paint dry, but man o man ...
Batch# 17 at 22 days Spectralite I just went into pre polish I will check it again next Saturday
I think that this little batch is going to be very nice ... they look great wet after 3-4 minutes ... so I have got my fingers and toes crossed.
Batch# 18 at 7 days Citrine & Quartzite mix I just went into 120 (only with 1 tablespoon as I ran out and am now awaiting my order from Shawn). I will check it again next Saturday as well
Because this is Citrine & Quartzite ... two rocks that I have not had good results (by my standards) to date ... I do not think that the 1 versus 3 tablespoons of 120 is going to make a vast difference in the outcome.
My vibe batch# 4 Cabs Citrine & Quartzite scraps (filler and cushion) The remaining (about 3/4 cup) filler/cushion is The Rock Shed mix.
Now for the timing ...
Everywhere I turn and read ... it seems everyone has their opinion as to how long to let a vibe batch run in 120/220. Some say 24 hours, others say 3-4 days.
I am going to err on the side of caution and let it go about 3-4 days.
I have a good reason for this. I am not running this at night as it is awful noisy. So at the this point, I have about 24 hours of solid/good tumbling. So after all is said and done, the 120 stage will break out to be about 2 solid days.
Input??
Thanks Julie

This batch, other than the stuff I added for extra cushion and filling are the cabs. So what I am looking at is not rough.
The only reason for my adding all the extra is that with just the cabs, I did not have a 3/4 full bowl.
Since I am running at 10-12 hours a day, this batch (as of tomorrow evening) has been running about 2 days. I will dump and check tomorrow night, recharge, and let run another 4 days at the 10-12 hour interval.
It will take me longer than you but I should get close to the same outcome (I hope).
I am going to try to do some sawing today.
As always ... thank you so much Julie

Julie, how many cabs would you estimate are in this batch? I'm trying to figure out how many more months of sore fingers and backs I need to endure to get together enough cabs for a vibe run.
