Hi all, I have never been very good at making small cabs but this time I put my nose to the grindstone (so I could see what I was doing). I ground off the ends of most of my fingers and about 1/2 of my nose but I got-er-done. I originally cut the cabs out of blue tiger eye but later changed my mind to the gold. This is the most difficult piece I have made so far and it was a real trip for me. This is also the first piece I thought was worthy a sale but when I showed it to my wife she grabbed it so,,,,,,,, (I forgot to wipe off the finger smudges on the back before I took the photo) connrock

That is absolutely outstanding!! The design is fantastic, very creative. And the choice of golden tiger eye is excellent. I know what you mean when it comes to the wife grabbing it, same thing happens here! lol

WOW,,,,What a day getting rid of a stinkin virus on my computer!!!
p'p, Thanks, That's not the first she took from me and I guess it won't be the last either.
mc2, Thanks, The design was drawn first but the finished piece was MUCH different. The basic idea is there but not as many pieces.
Fran, Thanks, I'm finding out that I can't trust women with my "just finished" jewelry! If it's not my wife it's one of the daughters or who ever else walks in!
mary ann, Thanks, It's not the fingers that are killing it's my nose!!!!
If I didn't think I was going to offend anyone I would say my nose looks like Michael Jackson's,,,,,,so I won't say it!
RB, Thanks, It's easy to do after you first melt about 2 lbs of silver for scrap!!!! lol
Harry, Thanks, I am FAR from a master at anything. All I do is try my best and some times I surprise myself!!

Tom: Beautiful as usual!!!!!! I love the long design, I would have grabbed that one too! The cabs are so shiny and pretty! Now you just have to make about 12 more to sell, LOL! Amber

Tom, the whole necklace is gorgeous. I tend to look at the details and the way you lined the outside of the bail with gold adds so much to an already beautiful design. The gold draws the eye to the stones.
Just beautiful.

YOu know for an old guy you do really well on these difficult projects. I still love that bale and the effort it took to get that part right not to mention the rest with the wraps and drills and rings and things. My guess is you are already setting about some new, even more technical, project you can complain about...and nail, Silver Master Tom! T

Tiger eye and silver - beautiful. They key is only to show the wife the ugly stuff - of course then she won't believe you when you say you sold something.
