Hiya folks, Well it's taken far far to long to get back to some form of fun, and I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed working on these. I don't have the facilities to cut as I'd like to but when I get the chance I make hay in the sun. Hope you like the results. Labradorite - Madagascar Kalahari Picture Stone - South Africa Rhodonite - Unknown location Tigers Eye - South Africa Ocean Jasper - Madagascar Graveyard Point Plume - Oregon Blue Goldstone - Unknown Location As you may be able to tell - I had a lot of fun! Thanks for looking! Cheers, Harry.

Wow, those are beautiful! Do you do the silversmithing as well? I'm blown away by the tiger's eye trio.

I'm not sure what Lee is referring to, I see all the pics. And they're nice! Nice stones and nice silversmithing, too!

Love the settings with that tube effect at the top, how big are these pieces? I love that blue goldstone and it just looks dazzling set in silver! Great job all around!! Amber

Wow your silver work and cabbing are both fantastic. Wouldn't be a location for goldstone as it's a man made material. Think it's made by monks in Italy or something like that...Mel

Wow! I really like your bezels, are they built up...or are they castings? Either way they certainly look very good. I am not trying to steal the thunder from the cabs, but the silver just jumps out at me. Woody

Hiya Folks! Geeze, I think you have all credited me with WAAAAYYYY too much talent! I'm sorry to shatter the illusion but they're commercial settings! Yikes! If I could make these myself I really would be as good as you think I am! ;D HE he he! My customers like quick cheap and cheerful, and the sales are just snowballing. Everyone has an outfit that's missing the accent to set it off. My niche is to provide a custom stone, they pick a setting and the job's a good un! Sorry tkrueger3, I really seriously wish I could silver smith - maybe sometime in the future - if the orders dry up! lparker - Loved the comment! He he he! Hard Rock Cafe - Thanks for the kind comments! bejewelme - Mr's rocks loves the Blue Goldstone too - that one mysteriously disappeared before the adhesive set! They are mainly 18x25mm and 25mm circles. The earrings were 2 14x10's. Glad you liked 'em! sabre52 - Thanks Mel, I didn't know if it was from the source (Venice) or a local UK knock off. naturenut - I owe's you one anyway Bud - You better drop me your addy! (just incase I can't find it in my rock box) ;D woodyrock - I found the supplier a couple of weeks back and now I'm seriously busy! I guess they jump at other folks too! It's weird how the rocks were "pretty" till I set them - then they sell themselves! Cheers Folks, you guys rock! ;D Harry.

Harry: Those settings are really classy, they really make the cabs shine, lvery nice fine jewelry! I wonder where we can source them here. I would love those tube ones for really special cabs! Great job, though, so you just glue them in? What adhesive are you using? Amber

Hiya Folks, Amber - I'm so pleased that they caught your eye - they certainly make a difference to the cabs and have been very well received by all who have seen them. I simply set them in to the setting using 2 part epoxy adhesive, quick, simple, permanent. I scratch the middle of the setting to allow the glue to "key" and apply a small dab of glue, then gently nestle the stone on top. I find it useful to grind a very small bevel around the back edge of the stone at about 45o, this helps to ensure the stone sits comfortably. Mary Ann - It's great to say Hi again Buddy, you may ask indeed - I spent a long time trying all the commercial settings I could find, and these are by far the best of the bunch. I eventually tracked down a supplier who specialises in Dichroic Glass, and she trades through the following website... www.dichro-findings.co.uk So glad you liked 'em! I must place an order with you sometime for some of your exquisite slabs - maybe when I sell the next batch I shall check out what you have available! Hi Mike - Check out the site, I'm sure they will be able to help you out - and although they seem a little pricey - they certainly make a nice stone a little more desirable! ;D Cheers Guys! Harry.
