Bad batch ... I tried to let it go another week in polish but to no avail.
There are a couple of small pieces of the smoky quartz that polished beautifully.
The poor Spectralite ... it is now set aside and until I can get another batch together of nothing but Spectralite for the rotary. I will not tumble it in any mix again.
There are a couple of small pieces of moonstone that polished up ... not as shiny as the smoky, but pretty just the same.
I have now learned ... I will not, never do another mixed batch. Well .... maybe in a few years when I have learned how to really work with different mohs.
