Hello all, just wanted to say hi. I've recently picked up the hobby after digging out my brother's old lortone 3lbs tumbler that had been sitting in the attic for ~20 yrs. Cleaned it up, tightened the belt, runs great (well, through 1 1/2 cycles so far). Think I may have been bitten by the bug, I'm finding myself checking the calendar daily waiting for the current run to finish and see my stones. The forum archives have already helped me out, I ordered a starter set of grits from The Rock Shed based upon recommendations from here. I want to thank the admins (and everyone else) for the board, so far it seems a very friendly place!

Welcome to the forum. Not rock related at all but my favorite trivia question for know-it-all geniuses is this:
Some pronounce it "Louie-ville" and some say "Lewis-ville". What is the correct pronunciation for the capital of Kentucky?

Thanks for the nice welcomes! Welcome to the forum. Not rock related at all but my favorite trivia question for know-it-all geniuses is this: Some pronounce it "Louie-ville" and some say "Lewis-ville". What is the correct pronunciation for the capital of Kentucky? I'm not a pronunciation expert, but I usually say "Frank-fort" (that's just me though)
