Nona, I overheard a couple of the vendors at the swap yesterday talking about this show. Sounded real good to me too. I was planning on going, and hearing them talk sealed it. Best part for me is it's 20 minutes away!

Anyone else heading to this show this weekend? There is a $2.00 admission charge, but 12 and under are free. She also mentioned free adsmission with a student ID.

I posted about this show the other day, but I put it in the wrong thread. DOH! This show was a lot of fun today. We spent a couple of hours wandering around looking at all the cool stuff. They had a lot for the kids to do too. My daughters hand polished a piece of dolomite, got to dig for gems in a big tub of sand, got an egg carton full of a dozen different minerals, and got to pick a rock from the "free for kids" pile. The girls both picked out a "gem hunt in a bag" from one vendor, and busted them open right away when we got home. Here's Abby going through hers - Here's Emily going through hers - I found a sweet chunk of labradorite, and almost immediately chopped a hunk off to work on when we got home. I'll post pix of the lab in the specimens section. I got to meet Slydog (Nona) and her friend BlondeDog (Penny) there. We only spoke for a few minutes as they just got there and I was almost done. Nona gave my daughters each a beautiful gift bag with several tumbled stones from her travels. Thank you again Nona, the girls love them! It was a great show, and I got to meet a couple great RTHers. What a great day! Nate
