We took two of our grandkids white water rafting. We mistakenly got signed up for the long trip so we were on the water from 10:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.....a bit longer than we planned but it was fun! Thats me on the right in the photo with our 17 year old grand daughter in front of me. My wife is on the left and our 12 year old grandson is behind her. It was really hot so the boat captain stopped very frequently for everyone to go swimming. Boy! Was that water cold! He would also let anyone go down the milder rapids feet first floating with their life jacket on. Most of the kids did this for a while. Bob

Ohh Bob, that looks fun! I really wanted to do that in Moab, but time wasn't on our side! Looks like lots of action! Where were you guys?

We were on the American River near Coloma. The upper rafting trip (shorter) takes you past the Sutter Mill 1849 gold discovery site. We took that trip last year. You start the trips in a teeming metropolis called Lotus, California. I don't know if there is a town in Lotus. I've never seen anything there. Bob

Looks like a Ton of Fun! Did that a few years back in Oregon....and the big thing there was water fights amongst all the other rafts...even if you didn't know them. People would jump in your raft and try throwing out the others and sometimes it got a little too heated. It was a Blast though. Bob...your face looks like your cringing getting prepared for the next set of rapids. Love all the facial expressions. Steve

What a great pic, smiles on everyone. I've never done that but I do want to try it sometime.
