I liked the picture frame so much, I decided to do something else with these tiny little guys. Some are not much bigger than the head of a pin. The vase took me all day to get done. The frame I added some to the outside edge Then I did a glass vase I had in the hutch Let me know what you guys think!! I am taking them to the flea market tomorrow....thinking maybe 10.00 each? What's you're opinion? Thanks for looking! Marie

Marie, I like both of them - are the agates on both inside and outside of the vase? In the pics, it looks like they are on both surfaces. Those look like they just HAVE to be heavy! Please don't drop them .... Tom

Agates are on only the outside of the vase. I thought about putting a candle in it, then I read that the glue is flammable, so don't want to take a chance...The original idea was to make a lamp out of agates, I think that it would just be grogeous to have the light shining through them. That will have to come at another time, when I can figure out how to do it. This set though, I can see sitting on a hall table, or entry table, with some silks in the vase, and someones pictures in the frame, side by side. Yes they are pretty heavy, but not so much that they are "too" heavy if you know what I mean. The vase is the one I worry about a little.

That vase is beautiful. I bet just sitting it in a sunny window creates a wonderful effect. I don't know but for $10.00, someone is going to grab it quick. Imho, you could raise the price.
These really show off against the backdrop of your countertop and cabinets.
Good luck and have fun.

Well, the frame was the first thing to go, but didn't sell the vase. Everyone loved it, and kept telling me how pretty it was, but no buyers on it..........maybe next week. sitnwrap - thanks!! I did have fun today, sold a lot of the agate pendants, and the frame, so that's good as well. Gonna do it again next week, maybe it will sell then! Everyone thinks the pendants are a steal at 2.00 each, so that's good. I have about 300 of them done up so far.....But winters comin', need to sell more of them!!

Jeez - if your pendants are any good at all, they should be worth more than two bucks! Was it me, I'd probly go at least $5 each - and maybe if somebody wants more, offer a bit of a discount. But that's just me. Tom

As I am just starting out in this, I wanted to test the market, and see what they would go for, and I need to get a return on the monies invested in this hobby so far....times are hard right now, so wanted to make sure they sell. So far, so good, making a little bit of a return on money well spent, and I am enjoying it. I also figure it this way....since I lost my job, I wouldn't have anything else to do, so it's not like I am losing anything, it's keeping me busy, and I make a little cash as well. Maybe next summer I can raise the price of them a little bit, as hopefully I will be sitting a little better financially? ??

Yep, I understand completely. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right? I hope your pendants and decorations really take off and you can end up making a business out of it. Wouldn't that be fun?

Well, even if it doesn't turn in to a full fledged business, that pays the bills, I'm okay with just getting some of the money backs it takes to keep going on it. Thanks for the well wishes!! Marie

I think you are underselling yourself. Agates, even tiny ones take a lot of grit to tumble and a lot of time. Pendants are cheap even at $5 so allow yourself to know that your work is good and worth a bit more. Even at higher prices, they would still be cheap! Maybe add some silk flowers to the vase to show it off might make it sell. Fran
