Hi,
My friend's horse has just died and I wanted to make her a little plaque, I have cut a rectangle out of lepidolite and have sort of engraved his name in (MAX), I would like to fill the gap with something than can be ground and polished - any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Paula, you could cut and polish a small horse. Something like this? Ken

That is a very nice thing that you are doing! Animals are such a large part of most of our lives and a horse lives a good amount of time so they become family. I think Kens idea would be a nice touch if it would fit. Fran

Hi,
Thanks for the replies, I have engraved a name in a stone but want to fill it with a compound to make the name stand out and then polish it, any suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

You could try epoxy, you might be able to find some that is black or you can get color additives for the clear stuff. Check knife making supply sites, a friend of mine has different colors he uses on knife handles.
