Hello, Northern California rockhounds. Come and join the Sacramento Mineral Society for our final Open House, BBQ, Tailgate of the year on Saturday, August 29th from 10:00am-2:00pm at our clubhouse at 4205 Lemay Street, Rancho Cordova (Sacramento).

This is a great opportunity to meet other people interested in rockhounding, gem & mineral collecting, and the lapidary/jewelry arts. We are the only rock club in the area with its own shop (trim saw, 6 Genies, grinders/polishers, large rock saws) and a huge rockyard. Come and see what we have to offer!

We will be serving a BBQ lunch for the low donation price of $5.00.

Club members will have rough rock, slabs, cabochons,wire wrap and jewelry for sale at VERY reasonable prices.

There will be cab-making demonstrations in our shop, rock auctions, and free rocks for the kids. You can also explore our rock yard for some wonderful rough rock bargains at $1.00/pound!

Directions: From Hwy 50, take Bradshaw exit, south; second left on Old Placerville Rd; right on Macready; left on Mather Blvd; right on Lemay. SMS entrance is about 200 feet on the left.
