Hiya Folks, It's been fun making up some new pendants, and this week I've cut some new materials. First up are a couple of Turitella Agates, nothing new here, but pretty pieces that I enjoyed making. The circle is 25mm and the oval 18x13mm - nice contrast with the wee rectangular setting though. Next is another Picture Stone from the Kalahari, they really are popular! 25x18mm in a horizontal mount. And then it's the new stuff, both are 25mm circles, firstly a Calico Silver Lace Onyx, I LIKE this material! And then an Amazonite Feldspar. Hope you like 'em! Turitella Agates

Amazonite Thanks for looking! I'll be working up some more soon! Cheers, Harry.

Those are all very nice cabs, and the silver settings really make them pop. I haven't yet found a source on this side of the pond for settings like that, or even close. That would be fun to do.

Harry, these are beautiful. The settings are simple and elegant and showcases your cabs perfectly. That Turitella and the Silver Lace are my two favorites out of this group. The Lace just seems to meld with the setting.

All very nice stones.
But now I'll be contrary, I don't like the onyx in the silver. Looks washed-out to me. But others love it so don't listen to this grumpy old toad. I think the rest look wonderful in the settings. Love the turitella.

Man Harry, They are awesome, man I wish we could get some of those settings, but that would also mean making a super duper cab, LOL! That first one just draws me in, I think due to that little piece of light colored shell, and the picture stone, WOWSERS!!! I love these!!! What a treat for the eyes! Amber

Great job on those Harry. The settings really make those cabs pop out of the screen. Glad to see you figured out a way to cab in your new domicile.

Harry, you are the master at making your cabs perfectly shaped! I remember your tut on it and still, I am not there yet. Maybe you could find your lesson and re-post it for us fumble fingers... Those are all really beautiful but I would say that toad was right. That onyx would look beautiful in a gold mount but it still looks sweet in that silver! Thanks for the treats! Fran

Hi All, Thanks again for your fantastic comments, it's lovely to hear how much you enjoyed seeing the ongoing projects. I have to agree with Toad and Frane, I'm not completely convinced with the Onyx in Silver, the brushed metal fitting might have made a better job of it - it sold today though - so I guess it wasn't too bad! As always - all my settings from www.dichroicfindings.co.uk, Silver plated and great to work with. Frane - I shall put another together sometime. I have to say though - it's just check and re-check against the template, I'm glad you liked the fit though - I try hard to cut symetric and consistent stones. Cheers, Harry.
