I got my Star Diamond vibe lap used like I got all of my equipment. It didn't have a polish pad and I've been experimenting with trying to find the right polish pad.
I've been using a cheap welcome mat from WalMart that I cut a circle out of but it takes a while and tends to leave patterns the way the rug is woven.
I'm using micro alumina as polish.
What works for you?

Rick, most come with a felt pad. I'm guessing nylon carpet would work also. I used cerium on my Lortone when I had it. It worked most of the time. I've heard Tin Oxide is the best polish for vibe laps (this from Val Carver, manufacturer of Meyer's Rapid Polish)

I just use carpet (wool or nylon-anything I can get) and a tin oxide slurry and have had no problems,

carpet store remnants. look for something nylon synthetic, i get doormat sized pieces for $0.50-$1 which i can cut 2 pads out for my 10" lapper. at those prices, you can afford to be liberal with changing them out.
